EXCAVATOR

The MX20G features an innovative boom design that can be customised for different tasks thanks to its adjustable lengths of 2.0 m, 2.5 m, and 3.0 m. This flexibility makes the MX20G ideal for a variety of digging projects. In addition, the MX20G is equipped with the option to mount an Engcon tiltrotator, increasing its versatility and making it an optimal choice for a variety of digging tasks. This combination of features makes the MX20G a highly capable and flexible excavator, able to handle a wide range of tasks with ease.

UNDERCARRIAGE

The Hydrema MX20G comes in a single undercarriage setup, designed to fully utilise the machine's performance for lifting and other demanding tasks:

AXLES

The MX20G wheeled excavator from Hydrema uses high-performance ZF axles, essential for its capacity in demanding conditions. These axles have a 45% limited-slip differential lock that optimises power distribution and improves traction. The machine's planetary reduction wheel hubs increase torque and precision, which is ideal for complex digging applications. In addition, the MX20G has built-in brakes on the axles and a front axle with a unique pendulum lock that allows a +/- 8º pendulum angle for increased manoeuvrability.

STEERING

The MX20G from Hydrema utilises advanced steering technology that combines hydraulic steering with emergency steering capability, ensuring constant control in all conditions. This feature is essential for handling unexpected situations where precise manoeuvring is critical. To further enhance the user experience, joystick steering is offered as an option. This joystick system enables smooth and precise control at speeds up to 20 km/h, resulting in a more comfortable driving experience, especially during prolonged use.

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

Equipped with a sophisticated hydraulic system, the MX20G from Hydrema offers a combination of a dual-circuit Load Sensing system and a dedicated high-pressure pump for slew control, ensuring excellent performance. The system is equipped with electronic power regulation and a Mode Control function that gives the user a choice between precise precision work and a fuel-efficient ECO Mode. The machine has the option of up to three hydraulic circuits, with two as standard, and all are adjustable from the cab.

ENGINE

The Hydrema MX20G is powered by an efficient, Cummins B 4.5 L Stage 5-engine, which is a fusion of power and environmental concerns. This engine is equipped with advanced technology including DOC, DPF, and SCR catalyst with AdBlue technology. The engine delivers a powerful performance with up to 175 hp (129 kW) and a maximum torque of 780 Nm. To ensure continuous and efficient operation, the MX20G has a 280 litre fuel tank and a 31.5 litre AdBlue tank, minimising the need for frequent refuelling stops during long work periods.

DRIVING HYDRAULICS & TRANSMISSION

With its hydrostatic propulsion and constant four-wheel drive, the MX20G ensures excellent mobility on all terrains. This model is equipped with an electronically controlled variable drive motor and an integrated brake valve, offering a smooth and controllable driving experience. The MX20G is equipped with a 2-speed soft-shift Powershift transmission, which is suitable for both on-road and off-road conditions and allows the driver to switch between manual and automatic gear settings. This feature provides optimal flexibility and comfort for the driver in different working conditions.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The MX20G from Hydrema is equipped with a sophisticated 24V electrical system that ensures reliable performance and long-term durability. The system consists of an efficient 70 Amp. generator and two powerful 12V, 100Ah batteries. Its wiring harness is designed to be both durable and safe, with waterproof connectors for outdoor use, ensuring reliable operation. Maintenance and checks are made easy with easy access to fuses and relays near the cab through a service hatch. An emergency operation function guarantees continued operation in the event of electronic failures, and an automatic circuit breaker offers additional protection. The MX20G is designed to be a stable and efficient partner in any working condition. 

AUTOMATIC CIRCUIT BREAKER

The MX20G has an automated circuit breaker offers additional protection. This feature ensures that all electrical systems are automatically switched off when the operator ends use and leaves the cab, saving energy and improving safety. Reactivation of the system is seamless when the driver returns, supported by sensors located in the doors. Equipped with a built-in timer and a controllable shutdown function from the dashboard, this feature makes operation both intuitive and convenient. For additional safety, there is an emergency switch located within easy reach in the cab.

OPERATION

The Hydrema MX20G features user-friendly operation with its efficient control system. Equipped with multifunctional joysticks that include servo functions and push buttons, it ensures precise control. With separate foot pedals for the two-part boom and dozer blade/stabilisers, comfort is increased. Users can adjust hydraulic pressure and flow from the instrument panel, and there are options for further customisation with advanced joystick settings. This makes the MX20G easy and comfortable to operate in all work situations.

KRØJESYSTEM

The Hydrema MX20G's state-of-the-art high-pressure hydrostatic slewing system plays a key role in improving the manoeuvrability of the machine, allowing it to turn 360 degrees. The system increases efficiency by recycling some of the braking energy to the diesel engine. Equipped with a mechanical holding brake for yaw and a soft start function with angle sensors, the MX20G ensures a smooth swing speed of 10.8 rpm and a powerful swing torque of 50 kNm, ideal for precise work.

BRAKES

To ensure maximum safety and control, the MX20G from Hydrema comes with a state-of-the-art braking system. This model includes a dual-circuit braking system with maintenance-free oil immersed brakes on all four wheels, guaranteeing consistent and reliable braking. OPERATORS CAB

The Hydrema MX20G's cab is a blend of spaciousness and ergonomic design that prioritises operator comfort. The cab has a 10" touchscreen display and user-friendly controller in the armrest for easy operation. SOUND LEVEL

The MX20G offers an impressively low noise level during operation. Inside the cab, the sound level is reduced to a comfortable 68 dB(A), and outside, the noise is kept at a moderate 102 dB(A).
